I'm sure you all know incredible hulk. When he gets mad or out of the mood, he transforms. Is his Hormones is responsible for this? Lets all find out!!

When you here the word Endocrinology what comes to your mind? uhhmm Me, when I here the word Endocrinology the first thing that comes into my mind is endocrine system. As we all know. There are two major system responsible in giving an Information to our body: our endocrine system and the nervous system. Together, they regulate and coordinate all the activities in our body structures. From this, Modern medical guide defines Endocrinology as a branch of medicine that deals with our endocrine glands, different diseases that affects the action of other glands, its specific secretions and the substance they secrete, most likely known as hormones.

Hormone as mentioned above serves as our chemical messenger in the body that would help to stimulate many other body activities which is carried out without our consciousness or thought. These may affect our body’s function such as Growth, metabolism, tissue maturation, reproductive function and so on.

In many cases, a disease of one endocrine glands may affect the action of other glands. This may usually either overproduction or underproduction of hormones, and in most cases the disease may not be treated or even detected as simply of many other organs.

An example of a picture above has a disorder that is related to overproduction of hormones ACTH in the pituitary which is called the Cushing’s Syndrome. These are rare and more common among females and usually has a symptoms of being obese, muscular weakness and atrophic changes in the skin to name a few.

Still, there are alot of associated disease related to our endocrine glands. Hopefully as we go along to the discussion to the world of endocrinology, we would learn more about these diseases. Thank you in taking time to read my first ever article! SEE YAH in the NEXT ONE!! ^_^
